Portnoo Pier is a peaceful little harbour spot overlooking the Atlantic and nearby Inishkeel Island. Popular for sea swimming, kayaking, fishing, and sunset views, it’s a lovely place to slow down, take in the coastal scenery, and experience the natural beauty of Narin Portnoo.
Narin Portnoo Strand is one of Ireland’s most beautiful beaches and a proud Blue Flag beach, stretching for miles along the Wild Atlantic coastline with golden sands, rolling dunes, and stunning views towards Inishkeel Island. Popular for beach walks, fresh sea air, sunsets, and outdoor adventures, it’s a special place to slow down and experience the natural beauty and calm atmosphere of southwest Donegal and was even featured in the hit TV show Derry Girls. It also happens to have a great little wood-fired sauna tucked along the shoreline.
Rosbeg Beach is one of Inishkeel Sauna’s favourite local spots. A quiet, unspoiled beach with beautiful views, rolling dunes, and a real sense of peace along the Donegal coastline. Perfect for beach walks, photography or simply slowing down and taking in the wild Atlantic scenery.
Kilclooney Dolmen is one of Ireland’s finest and most impressive ancient portal tombs, dating back to around 3500 BC. Built by some of Ireland’s earliest settlers, this remarkable megalithic structure has stood for over 5,000 years and remains almost completely intact today. Set in the peaceful countryside near Narin Portnoo, the dolmen’s massive stone cap and unique tilted design continue to fascinate visitors, offering a glimpse into Donegal’s rich prehistoric past and the mystery of Ireland’s ancient landscape.

Set along the stunning coastline of Donegal, Narin Beach parkrun is a free weekly 5km community run held every Saturday morning on the beautiful sands of Narin Beach. Whether you’re a seasoned runner, casual jogger, or just fancy a scenic walk by the sea, it’s a brilliant way to start the day and soak up the fresh Atlantic air.
